Rihanna will release her new record ahead of Justin Bieber, One Direction and Chris Brown.
Industry insiders predict Rihanna will drop her much-anticipated new album ANTi on Nov. 6 to ensure she grabs the No. 1 spot. The following week on Nov. 13, Bieber and One Direction will duke it out. The week after that Adele is slated to drop her forthcoming record and following hers on Nov. 27 is Chris Brown's Royalty.
According to HDD, it's unknown if Rihanna will mention the release date in the coming days, or attempt a Beyonce and simply drop the album come Nov. 6, but as she's made very clearly in the past, Rihanna does what she wants.
However, a source close to Rihanna tells Billboard this is NOT the release date. They deduct she probably won't release an album in November because of all the competition mentioned above.
It was once thought Rihanna would share the album exclusively on TIDAL, but we imagine she won't travel that route seeing as the streaming service continues finding its place in the competitive market where Spotify and Apple Music remain at large.
Last week, Rihanna unveiled the artwork for ANTi at an art gallery viewing in Los Angeles.
