Rihanna will finally drop her much-anticipated new album ANTi on Nov. 27 as a TIDAL exclusive.
That’s what industry insiders at Hits Daily Double predict, claiming she’ll followup the premiere there with a world-wide release the following week on Dec. 4.
Rihanna will face major competition from Coldplay, whose upcoming LP, Head Full Of Dreams, is slated for a premiere that day. Both will battle Adele’s 25 head-on when she drops her forthcoming record next Friday (Nov. 20).
The “Bitch Better Have My Money” singer is thought to have a $25 million deal in the works with Samsung, who’ll sponsor her album and tour.
She shot a music video earlier this week and is rumored to rock a black and navy-colored latex bodysuit in it.
Dropping the entire album on TIDAL first is a risky move – the streaming service has a rocky history with consumers, but we imagine she’s pressured to do so considering Jay Z helped negotiate her multi-million dollar deal. She’s also a co-owner.
It’s not personal… it’s business. But it might be the beginning of the end for ANTi.
