Rihanna's new album ANTi launches to the top.
Despite the many hurdles Rihanna jumped, including a premature debut (a "leak") or the Samsung giveaway which resulted in the record getting platinum certified from the RIAA, the Barbados beauty managed to score a No. 1, reports Billboard, moving 124,000 pure album sales or 166,000 that includes streaming.
Earlier this week, HDD predicted the album would knock Adele's 25 to No. 2, however it is Kevin Gates’ Islah that debuts at No. 2 with 112,000 units (93,000 in album sales). Adele drops to No. 3 with 106,000 units (down 9 percent). Sia's This Is Acting charts at No. 4 with 81,000 units (68,000 in pure album sales). Rounding out the Top 5 is Justin Bieber's Purpose, dropping 5-2 with 73,000 units.
ANTi debuted last week at No. 27.
