Rihanna might surprise-release "ANTi" in December.
It was originally thought Riri's new body of work would hit in November. Our first rumored date was this Friday, Nov. 6, but a source since told Billboard that's definitely not happening. Justin Bieber and One Direction's new record drops Nov. 13, so we doubt she'll aim for then and certainly wants to avoid Adele's 25 release date slated for Nov. 20. We imagine Adele will remain No. 1 for many weeks to come, so Nov. 27 is surely out.
Another reason for the delay? Rihanna reportedly isn't sure what her next single should be. Her previous releases, including "FourFiveSeconds" featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney, "American Oxygen" and "Bitch Better Have My Money" propelled the Barbados beauty into different directions, so this next single has a lot riding on it.
It seems likely Rihanna will push the record off until 2016, which gives her more time to finalize the album and her $25 million deal with Samsung, who will sponsor ANTi's promotion and tour.
Rihanna even cancelled her upcoming performance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show to focus on readying her record.
