UPDATE // NOVEMBER 30:
As promised, Rihanna received the Show of the Year award at the 30th FN Achievement Awards on Tuesday night.
Naturally, she rocked a pair of the award winning shoe, the Fenty Puma Creepers, and gave a brief acceptance speech.
"It means so much. It makes me so proud to be a young woman from Barbados. To come to America and just do this by default just because I liked a certain style of shoe."

EARLIER // NOVEMBER 4:
Rih's shoe game is on point.
Ladies and gents, Rihanna is worthy of a trophy in honor of her shoe contributions. We repeat, Rihanna is worthy of a trophy in honor of her shoe contributions, as per Footwear News' and their recent announcement regarding their Shoe of the Year Award.
To kick off the weekend on Friday (November 4), Footwear News announced that Bad Gal Riri will add another accommodate to her resume with their 2016 Shoe of the Year award. Thanks to the release and impact of her FENTY x Puma Creeper, the pop titan will take the stage during the 30th FN Achievement Awards at the IAC Headquarters in New York City on November 29 to accept the trophy, which actually better be in the shape of a shoe —, or better yet, an adult-sized foot.
In case you want to try your bet at scoring the award in 2017, please be advised that the accolade is based off of "retail sales, consumer feedback, social media prowess and overall buzz."
In a statement for the award, Rih sounded just as surprised as we were about the award. "In my wildest dreams, I never would have imagined an honor like ‘shoe of the year," she said. "It means so much to me to make a mark like this in the shoe and sneaker industry and to have so many people share my love for the Creeper."
In addition to the Creeper, Rihanna and Puma have also dropped a laceless trainer and faux fur slides in the last year. It all leads us to question just one thing: Where did we go wrong?
