Bibi Bourelly says she was just feeling ratchet the day she wrote BBHMM.
You've got to admit that there's been a lot of noise surrounding Rihanna's club banger "Bitch Better Have My Money" since it dropped exactly two weeks ago. First off, the song was met with a bunch of mixed reviews. Then Riri decided to give Jimmy Kimmel one hell of an intimate performance of the tune on top of his bed. Oh, and don't forget about those little plagiarism accusations from who da hell is her songstress Just Brittany. Now 20-year-old songwriter Bibi Bourelly has come forth to share some details about penning the record for the pop titan, admitting that the career milestone was written is just three hours.
During an interview with Noisey, the Berlin artist told the outlet that “Bitch Better Have My Money” was just a product of feeling hella ratchet with producer Deputy in an LA studio.
It was back when I was into writing to beats, which I don’t do anymore. He played me it, I went in and started saying something like “BITCH BETTER HAVE MY MONEY!”, because I was feeling ratchet that day. We got that shit done in three hours, then Dep went home and worked on it some more. It came out the way it did, and people seemed to like it."
Bibi admitted that was just having fun with the idea of writing a song for Rihanna. BBHMM took forever to get to Rih, and when she finally heard it, the bad gal thought it was cool and chose to record it. As for the heavyweight that heard "Bitch Better Have My Money" even before Rihanna, it was none other than R8 executive producer Kanye West. Need the proof? Look no further than her Instagram feed.
