Rihanna says the new album is going "really, really great."
Rihanna plans on celebrating 10 years in the business (she release her first record Music Of The Sun in 2005) which she says is a milestone for her.
"Definitely a very big deal for me," she said in a new interview. "You know, I can't believe it's 10 years already, but we definitely have to celebrate this year There are a few things I have in mind, so you'll have wait on that, but don't think I'm forgetting because this means a lot to me that I made it to 10 years."
That's a huge accomplishment considering most artists don't see passed the first year, but this last chapter has proven to be a bit challenging for her. She released several singles this year, including "FourFiveSeconds" featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney, "American Oxygen" and "Bitch Better Have My Money," and they will likely end up on her forthcoming record that's almost finished.
"New album is going really, really great. We have recorded a lot of songs and I can't wait to finish and put it out. That's my next step," she said. The news comes off the heels of iHeartMedia's President admitting he's excited for new music from her this fall.
Interesting insight from Riri, because it appears on the outside the album is going really, really rocky. However, we'll take her word for it!
