Rihanna is plagued with problems since the very inception of her recent studio album, and the accompanying tour is no exception. We needn't remind you of the record's sloppy rollout, but her most recent blunder is still fresh. Rihanna was slated to perform "Kiss It Better" at the GRAMMYs on Monday, but during the show a report from TMZ claimed she would no longer participate. Her team claimed doctors ordered her not to perform because she fell ill with bronchitis and said the singing could permanently damage her vocal cords. Yea, yea, we didn't buy that either, and a day later anonymous sources connected to the GRAMMYs revealed she threw a tantrum before the set and cancelled.
While that mess blows over, news has come to light she's also canceling the beginning dates of her upcoming ANTi tour due to "production delays." Her first eight dates on the tour, including San Diego, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix, San Jose and New Orleans will get rescheduled for later this spring. The tour will begin March 12 in Jacksonville instead. All tickets previously purchased will be honored at the new dates.
We speculated earlier this week Rihanna might use the canceled Grammy performance as a way to post-pone ANTi tour dates, and we weren't wrong.
