Rihanna and Calvin Harris's next club anthem "This Is What You Came For" has arrived.
Just this week, Rihanna was finally kicked off the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 after her lead ANTi single "Work" reigned for nine weeks (Prince reigns for now). She dropped two more songs off the record since, the slow-burning "Kiss It Better" and "Needed Me" respectively. The latter track is the clear front-runner for the next chart topper, unless of course her new collaboration with Calvin Harris bars it. And it might.
Harris and Rihanna debuted their new song today (April 29), a thumping EDM track crafted for Vegas nightlife. The song boasts only a few lines from Riri while Harris' tribal house beat whirls around. "Lightning strikes every time she moves and everybody's watching her while she's looking at you," Ri sings.
"This Is What You Came For" is being billed as a "We Found Love" 2.0, their 2011 collabo that lit up the dance charts and launched Harris to a new level of stardom. Perhaps lightning can strike twice.
