Report: Prince Overdosed On Percocet Days Before His Death

New troubling facts emerge surrounding Prince's untimely death on Thursday.

Prince's death shocked the world. How could a 57-year-old who was performing shows in recent weeks die so suddenly? It appears drugs were involved.

According to TMZ, "Prince had OD'd on Percocet days before his death, and he ingested so much EMTs had to administer a 'save shot' at the airport where his plane made an emergency landing to save his life."

A 'save shot' is typically administered to counteract the effects of an opiate, TMZ reported.

The site claims Prince's entourage told responders he had taken the painkiller after his Atlanta concert which triggered the emergency. There's even photos of Prince pacing around a Walgreens parking lot waiting for his prescription to be filled hours before he died.

Authorities in Minneapolis will conduct an autopsy on Friday (April 22) to determine what killed the legendary singer.

Prince was reportedly taking painkillers for a hip problem following corrective surgery for his hips around 2010.
