Don't play stupid, don't play dumb, vagina's where you're really from.

Pussy Riot are a Russian feminist punk-rock group who took center stage in a global controversy after they were thrown in jail for performing in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior, and though they've faced imprisonment, brutality and injustice for their beliefs and guerrilla performances, their message lives on.

Pussy power!

The band released a new music video today for a song titled "Straight Outta Vagina," which features verses from Desi Mo and Leikeli47 and stars band member Nadya Tolokonnikova as a priest wearing the iconic ski mask. In the beginning of the clip, Tolokonnikova hands a little girl a candy with a vagina painted on it, symbolizing the passing of the torch to a younger generation. Role reversal also plays a major part in the video, showing a group of women pissing in standing urinals while a group of men don high heels and red lip stick.

In 2012, Madonna was an outspoken defender for Pussy Riot during their time locked away in Russian prison.

“As an artist, as a human being, as a woman, I have freedom to express my point of view, even if other people don’t agree with me,” she said. “Even if my government doesn’t agree with me... I know there are many sides to every story, and I mean no disrespect to the church or the government. But I think that these three girls — Masha, Katya, Nadya — I think that they have done something courageous. I think they have paid the price for this act. And I pray for their freedom.”
