If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
How does Psy top his most watched music video of all time with "Gangam Style?" By re-creating another iconic dance in a bizarrely comedic visual. That was the South Korean rapper's objective in his new visual for "Daddy" featuring CL of 2NE1.
The song is the first release from his upcoming record Chiljip PSY-Da (which means This Is PSY's Seventh Album in Korean) out Dec. 1. It follows 2012's PSY 6 record and drops year and a half since his single "Gentlemen."
"There were many thoughts going around in my head, including thoughts like, 'If I write like this, it would be not as good as Gangnam Style,' and 'If I write like this, the international audience will not understand,' so it took me a very long time to organize all those thoughts into one," PSY said at a news conference in Seoul on Monday, reports Billboard.
"Because this is an album that retains my continued desire as a lyric writer who wants to try things other than love songs in a movie-like way, there are several genres," he continued.
Psy transforms into an array of characters in his new clip, but regardless of who he becomes whether it's a toddler, a dancer or an old man... he got his from his daddy.
Psy also dropped a music video for a new song titled "Napal Baji."
