Producers Release New Kesha Song: "Lover"

Kesha has a new song out blah blah blah...

Kesha's currently more famous for her legal troubles with producer Dr. Luke than as a musician, but songs like "Lover" might change that. Might.

Producers Spookey Ruben and Schpilkas released the official version of "Lover" this weekend (they previously shared a longer demo version of it last month). They even posted a lyric video for it, but was removed due to copyright infringement. Womp.

Kesha's breathy vocals coincide with the song's eerie vibe and simple beat - a refreshing departure from hits like "Tik Tok" and "We R Who We R."

The Kesha-written song is officially out February 14, 2015.

Lyrics + audio of Kesha's "Lover" below:

Lover
Why don't you come over?
I know it's after midnight
Know it's after midnight

Forever
(The) word that I remember
You used in the beginning
Used in the beginning

Lover
You’ve already broken my heart
You’ve already broken my heart
Why have you stayed?
Why have you stayed?

'Cause lover
You’ve already ripped me apart
You’ve already broken my heart
What would it take, to make you walk away?

(Stay)
(Stay)
Walk away
(Stay)
(Stay)

Here we sit
In these winter mornings
You held on tighter last night
Than you ever had before

Here we sit
In these winter mornings
You held on tighter last night
Than you ever had before

Than you ever had before

Lover
You’ve already broken my heart
You’ve already broken my heart
Why would you stay?

Lover
You’ve already ripped me apart
You’ve already broken my heart
What would it take, to make you walk away?

Just walk away
Walk away
(Stay)
Walk away
Lover
