Zoom Into Zayn Malik’s World In Snakehips’ “Cruel” Video: Watch

UPDATE // AUGUST 9: Zayn travels through time and space in the hazy neon-lit “Cruel” visual. Watch:

Every pop star has their featuring-on-a-DJ’s-single moment, and this is Zayn’s.

It would seem like Zayn’s done promoting his debut album Mind of Mine, but he’s not done releasing music just yet.

After scoring a spot on the Ghostbusters soundtrack, the Like I Would singer has also jumped on a track called Cruel; from All My Friends duo Snakehips.

The slick electro-R&B production Snakehips are known for, will be a perfect match for Zayn’s sultry, moody vocals – definitely a strong contender for a 5am spin in the club, just before the lights turn on. The lyrics appear quite dark, with Zayn lamenting “Death on the TV” and “Noise and tears” on the radio.

Zayn sheds his moody exterior on “Cruel”, the brilliant collaboration with Snakehips for the producer’s. Besides “Like I Would,” Zayn’s solo material is generally mid-tempo, so the release is a generous fit.
