You can thank Justin Bieber for this trend. After Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee enlisted the Biebs for "Despacito," which ruled the charts for months on-end, every artist and their Madre wants lightning to strike twice. Beyonce jumped on J Balvin and Willy Willam's "Mi Gente," Demi Lovato has a track with Fonsi on the way, and now it's Fifth Harmony's turn. They unleashed their Spanish-language Pitbull collab "Por Favor" during the Latin AMAs on Thursday.
I can't say much about Pitbull's talk-rap. He sounds exactly the same to me in every song. Fortunately, Fifth Harmony saves the day (is it just me or do I only hear Lauren Jauregui and Ally Brooke?). The chorus and hooks sound effortless.
I was prepared for an audio assault from Mr. Worldwide, but the collaboration turned out en fuego.
