Apple Music shares its first exclusive material, a teaser song from Pharrell titled “Freedom.”
With all the hype surrounding Apple’s new streaming service, it’s only fitting the music giant shares a taste of what potential subscribers have in store. On Tuesday night (June 23), Pharrell posted a clip of his boppy new song on Facebook (A.K.A. “Happy” Part II) with the full ditty expected to drop on June 30 when Apple Music officially launches.
“Freedom” currently plays throughout Apple’s new commercial for the service, an enticing taste that suggests Apple Music will debut more exclusive content as time goes on a la TIDAL. But is the original material attractive enough to consumers to prompt a subscription? If Apple Music can battle the Doesn’t everything leak onto the Internet anyway? notion, then expect a major shift in the way we’re presented our favorite tunes.
