Adele is all about dat mom lyfe now.
Adele is still working on the follow-up to her massively successful 21 LP with the help of Pharrell Williams, but it doesn't sound like it's going to drop anytime soon based off Skateboard P's new interview with Ryan Seacrest.
On Friday (June 26), it was reported that Pharrell told Seacrest at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity that he's working with the British belter on the project. However, the hip hop heavyweight offered some insight as to why this release isn't going to see the light of day anytime soon.
Even though he called her "a masterful writer," Pharrell said that Adele's new role as a mother has definitely taken a toll on her priorities.
She’s kinda like, ‘OK, guys, I’m gonna open my diary for 20 minutes.’ So it’s like, OK, you have 20 minutes, or 32 minutes really then she gives it to you and closes it up and disappears, and she’s off with her beautiful boy and that’s what it’s all about."
There you have it, folks. Adele is taking forever to drop new music because she just had her baby. You can't blame her. Plus, isn't it better to just wait until she's adjusted to this new chapter of her life and can fully dedicate time to making us cry our eyes out? ... Exactly.
