That awkward moment when your wax figure is the butt of a joke.
Nicki Minaj was ecstatic to find out Madame Tussauds erected a wax figure of the rapper on all four knees inspired from the "Anaconda" music video. It resides at their Las Vegas museum where fans can get up close and personal and snap a photo with their idol. Unfortunately, some are taking it too far and it's forcing Madame Tussauds to beef up security around Nicki's figure.
The photo below went viral on Tuesday (Aug. 18), and prompted a response from the company, who Tweeted: “We have been made aware of [an] inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj’s new wax figure. Madame Tussauds attractions are interactive, immersive experiences, and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figures. It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologize for any offense this has caused.”
The company adds they are ensuring more staff are present and that "the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again."
It is a bit disturbing seeing a photo of a man sexualizing an inanimate object and sharing for the world to see, however we have a feeling Nicki Minaj remains unphased.
