Album Information
{nl}{nl}It was originally set for release in late spring or early summer of 2005 and was to include the first single, “Mona Lisa”. Britney Spears played this when she visited a US radio station in late 2004, where she spoke about the album. However, Jive Records later released a statement saying the album was being worked on, but no release date had been set. Spears called into TRL US in early 2005 and mentioned that there would be no new album for this year, though she did say that “Mona Lisa” would be featured on a “show” of some sort; this turned out to be her reality show Britney and Kevin: Chaotic.{nl}{nl}Michelle Lynn Bell (writer of Chaotic, I’ve Just Begun (Having My Fun), and many Jennifer Lopez tracks) has been working with Britney on tracks for the album. The following songs have recently been registered on ASCAP and are said to be planned for “The Original Doll”:{nl}

Love Under The Tree: Christmas Album

11 Dec
December 11, 2005

It was originally set for release in late 2004 and was to be a holiday gift for Britney’s fans. However, Jive Records decided to not release it after Spears’ blew out her knee while filming a music video for the song “Outrageous” and wouldn’t be able to promote it to the extent they planned. After this no future release date was determined and no other songs were recorded. Jive wanted to release something though to keep Britney’s name out there and make her fans happy so they rushed out a Greatest Hits compilation with little promotion. There is no information on any future possible release dates.

Since Jive decided to cancel the album a lot of tracks that were planned to be recorded never were. Britney is said to have only recorded a few of the 10 songs she was planning to record. No further information is available at this time.

Jive also said that the album will include the classical “Silent Night” and some songs written by Britney, the titles weren’t fully confirmed. Also some sites have said that “Love Under The Tree”, “Toy Soldiers”, “December Night”, “Merry Christmas Baby”, “Snow Angels” and “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” were to be released on the album.

Kevin’s: “The Truth”

11 Dec
December 11, 2005

Britney Spears’ hubby, Kevin Federline, is to release his debut solo album early next year. The LA-bred former-dancer has been locked up in the studio for the past year working on the album. For the album, Kevin has teamed up with Scott Storch, The Matrix, Red Zone and Bloodshy & Avant.

The album is entitled “The Truth” and is mainly rap-based, however samples other genres too. Despite reports confirmed otherwise, Britney herself will not be appearing on any tracks, although there is a song dedicated to her called “Fly Out”, which is all about their whirlwind relationship. Federline also samples a Micheal Jackson track on “Tabloid Junkie”.

The first single to be lifted from the LP is called “Ya’ll Ain’t Ready”, of clip of which leaked several weeks ago on the net. The video for the single was recorded in Las Vegas last week and is to premiere in January, with the album and single releases following shortly after.

Other album tracks include the anti-media fuelled “‘Razi”, potential club hit “Comin’ Down” and the tell-all confession track “Story Of My Life”.
