People Review K-Fed Album

05 Jan
January 5, 2006

People.AOL.com: One will gain new appreciation for the musical talents of Britney Spears after listening to “PopoZão,” the debut single from her husband, would-be emcee Kevin Federline. The frenetic dance track (its title refers to a bootylicious posterior) taps into the favela funk sound popular in Rio de Janeiro and features production by Disco D, who keeps things popping with breakneck beats.

But when Federline takes the mic, his raunchy, repetitive raps (“Bring that Brazil booty on the floor”) will quickly have you K-fed up. His annoying, rapid-fire rhymes suggest that he should stick to being a stay-at-home dad and let Spears bring home the bacon.

A bonus disc included with the DVD is to include a Britney song feat. Kevin Federline, and remixes of tracks from “Feeling Free” and a bonus unreleased track. The first single is due out in February. More information will be available soon.

Jive changed the name of Britney’s studio album, which is due to be released November 14, 2006. The new name is “Open Your Eyes”. This information is from BMG. Jive and Britney will work on this album after the “Feeling Free” release.

Information On Britney’s Collaboration With DFA

05 Jan
January 5, 2006

Most surreally, they spent an afternoon in the studio with Britney Spears. “That was weird,” says Goldsworthy. “Won’t do that again. No offense to her – she’s lovely. Got a foul mouth, though!” The brief session came to nothing, through lack of common musical ground.

“When we work with people, we hang out, listen to records, share stuff,” says Murphy. “But with Britney we had absolutely no way of communicating. She didn’t know anything that we knew.”

DailyTrojan.com: Its ability to straddle genres while maintaining a definitive sound has even sparked an interest from the pop world. “We spent a day working with Britney Spears on a song and just thought, ‘This is silly. It isn’t really our thing.’ We’re not being superior. It’s just not the way we work,” they said of the ill-fated collaboration.

January 5, 2006

Tammy & Co. (Kevin’s publicist): “Dancer, rapper, and co-star of the reality televison show Britney and Kevin: Kevin “K-Fed” Federline. Chaotic released his highly anticipated first single “PopoZao” exclusively through Yahoo! Music Unlimited at the stroke of midnight on January 1, 2006 – and fans have come in droves to his website (http://www.kevinfederline.com) to the tune of 2 million total hits and counting to listen to Federline’s Brazilian inspired dance track that is sure to set dance-floors all over the world on fire! Federline’s first studio album is due out in Spring 2006, and he’s decided to do things his way by releasing the album via the internet – continuing the cyber revolution and the way that music is released and promoted in this day and age.”

So it’s maybe true after all that Kevin couldn’t get any record label deal. He now has to release his album by himself… On the internet. Interesting, sort of.
