Britney Spears Slammed By Pink

Britney Spears has been slammed by Pink for driving her car with her baby son on her lap.

The ‘Toxic’ singer sparked outrage earlier this week when she was snapped behind the wheel with four-month-old Sean Preston perched on her knee instead of being secured in a baby seat.

Pink has reportedly being telling friends she believes the 24-year-old star is too young to have a child and has privately attacked her for behaving irresponsibly.

A friend of Pink’s is quoted on the MSNBC website as saying: “She’s always been disgusted by the Mickey Mousers’ values and just doesn’t understand Britney’s decision to rush off and have a child so quickly.”

It is not the first time Pink has criticised Britney.

The ‘Stupid Girls’ singer recently mocked the beautiful star, who is married to Kevin Federline, when asked if she was planning on starting a family now she has tied the knot with motocross racer Carey Hart.

Pink fumed: “F**k no. I’m not gonna do a Britney and pop out some kids. I’m not a Happy Meal. My husband’s got the burger, but he’s not getting the fries and shake to go with it.”

Britney Spears and Michael Jackson To Write Parenting Book

10 Feb
February 10, 2006

(New York–NY) The Time-Warner center was packed with journalists as Time-Warner CEO Richard Parsons, no relation to Alan, announced, with both Britney Spears and Michael Jackson present, that Time-Warner Books will be publishing the pop duos parenting book, “A Baby Is Tougher Than You Think”. Business analysts believe that not since the 2000 merger between AOL and Time-Warner has the media behemoth’s future been so apparent.

Though some of the New York press remained to be convinced, the Village Voice’s Michael Musto after the introduction of the book said, “And who’s going to be doing the foreword, Susan Smith?” However since most of the reporters were from People and InStyle, the only other incidents were several cases of brown tinged chapped lips. Thankfully, reality was kept to a minimum.

“I know people have been giving me a lot of crap for having my son in my lap while I was driving,” said Spears in her opening statement. “But I just need his father’s head down there all the time when I’m driving and nothing ever happens to him, and I say ‘like father like son’. Is that wrong?” Jackson agreed. “People are so funny, Britney. They say dangling your son off of a balcony is wrong. Well, it’s only wrong if you drop him and you don’t cover his head to protect him from all those nasty germs in the air.”

A reporter from Entertainment Tonight then asked Spears what the toughest part of driving with her son on her lap was? She was quick to say, “right turns, his head is still soft, and I didn’t want to elbow him.” Jackson again agreed. “Yes. Riding with little boys sure can be a tight fit.”

While the exact content of the book is not written, Spears summed up the spirit. “I want people to know that stars, like us, have knowledge to impart, like when you’re really jonseing for Red Bull and you’re out of it, and you’re Nanny is giving your husband a hand, wait until she’s done to go and get that Red Bull.” Jackson added: “And if Jehovah didn’t want us dangling our children from a hotel balcony, he wouldn’t have invented heaven.”

Time-Warner stock dropped 25 points after the press conference.

Paparazzi Speak Out on Britney Spears Baby Driving Scandal

10 Feb
February 10, 2006

Britney Spears at first blamed photographers for her disastrous decision on Monday when she was snapped cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway with baby Sean Preston on her lap. The pictures soon caused a ‘driving with baby’ scandal and Brit finally apologized.

But what about the paparazzi – what’s their story?

The American tabloid, ‘The Star’ gives the account from one paparazzo:

Frank Rohmer, the owner of the X17 photo agency that snapped the singer and her son leaving a Starbuck’s near her Malibu home, is amused by the explanation.

“George Spaly, who took the pictures, was not aggressive, nor did he pose any sort of threat to Britney or her baby. In fact, Britney and George have known each other for several years. She smiled and talked to George after arriving at the Starbuck’s. Britney asked George not to take pictures of her and the baby at the Starbuck’s and he agreed. In fact, on this particular afternoon at 1 p.m., it was so quiet that another bodyguard following in a car behind Britney’s left shortly after arriving at the Starbuck’s.”

Once Britney and her bodyguards had their drinks, she reportedly switched seats with one bodyguard and drove off with Sean Preston plopped in her lap. “She had her right hand on the wheel and her other hand apparently holding her kid. That’s when George started shooting. He kept a respectable distance.”

But in defense of his agency’s lucrative subjects, Rohmer suspects Britney, “just wasn’t thinking.” “It’s quite possible that Britney and Kevin hadn’t gotten to installing the child car seat in the back. Not that that’s any sort of excuse,” he told the Star.

Britney Spears Blasted by Shar: What Was That ‘Bleep’ Thinking?

10 Feb
February 10, 2006

Kevin Federline’s ex Shar Jackson is speaking out on the Britney Spears scandal where the pop tart was photographed driving in California with her baby on her lap. Jackson minced no words and is quoted as saying, “what was that b***h thinking?”

Shar allows her children around Spears, so if anyone has the right to question the behavior, Jackson would seem to have a legitimate concern for the safety of her children.

The Star reports:

Actress Shar Jackson, Kevin Federline’s ex, says she was “horrified” by the photos, an insider tells Star. Jackson, 29, the mother of Kevin’s daughter Kori, 3, and his 1-year-old son Kaleb, “couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the pictures,” says Star’s source. “She said, ‘what was that b***h thinking? Is she crazy? What kind of mother is Britney?’”

As for Spears blaming the paparazzi for her impulsive decision to drive with her son propped on her lap with no safety restraints, our source says that Shar isn’t buying that excuse. “Kori and Kaleb often stay with Britney and Kevin on weekends and after seeing those pictures, Shar’s starting to worry whether Britney is responsible enough to be trusted to take care of her kids.”

“She’s been trying to get Kevin on the phone and tell him he has to sit Britney down and tell her this should never happen again. If Shar doesn’t get that kind of assurance, she is going to think twice before she ever allows Kori and Kaleb to stay with him and Britney again.”

It’s still not clear if Brit does realize how poor of a choice she made as she told Access Hollywood, “I made a mistake and so it is what it is, I guess.”

Brit maintains she was being chased by the paparazzi at the time. “Being put in the situation that I was in, it was kind of bad with the paparazzi,” she said in the Access interview. I’m thinking Shar will need a stronger statement than this.

Access Hollywood Video

breatheheavy Check out the video of Britney on ACCESS HOLLYWOOD where she explains her side of the story about the driving incident, and her admitting it was a mistake. To see that, click the picture.
Britney Spears designed her own daring dress for the Grammy after parties on Wednesday night.

But three days before, the pop star was making headlines for all the wrong reasons when she was photographed driving with her baby on her lap.

Was she running from the paparazzi or endangering her child? Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts got the exclusive story when he caught up with Britney and Kevin after the Grammys.

“How are you guys responding to all the hub bub over what happened the other day with Sean Preston?” Tony asked the party-going couple.

“It is what it is, it’s the press. I mean, there is nothing new with them, with me,” Britney told Access.

Britney arrived relaxed and dazzling at Mariah Carey’s bash thrown with Jermaine Dupri and presented by LG Mobile Phones. And as she showed up sporting a self-designed mini-dress with Kevin on her side, she came right to Tony to explain for the first time what happened.

The photos in question showed Britney cruising down a very busy California highway with her four-and-a-half-month-old out of a car seat and directly behind the wheel. The pictures have brought severe criticism to Britney, who initially blamed aggressive paparazzi for frightening her into the poor decision.

But now, upon more reflection, Brit is accepting some of the responsibility.

“It’s kind of like I made a mistake and so it is what is, I guess,” she told Tony.

That being said, she’s not taking all the blame.

“Being put in the situation that I was in, it was kind of bad with the paparazzi,” she explained. “Last week, my mom and me went out and they were on us really bad, so it’s just, you do instinctively what you need to do.”
