Britney Supports Mel Gibson Through Troubling Time

Posted by: Jordan Miller

Mel Gibson is turning to Britney for support after recent recorded tirades of his against his ex "leaked" onto the Internet, according to new reports.

Britney and Mel are in frequent communication, says a friend of Britney's to In Touch Weekly.

“Mel has been talking to her a lot, they speak on the phone,” said the source.

Britney and Mel vacationed together in Costa Rica in May 2008 after Britney was hospitalized just three months prior.

“Mel was one of the only people who reached out to help Britney when she was at her lowest point, and she believes that demonstrates what a loving and wonderful man he is,” said the source. “She wants people to give him a second chance - just like he gave her one when everyone else turned away.”

Hopefully Britney is the support system Mel needs right now!

The Original Doll is the working title of Britney Spears' fifth studio album, due out sometime in 2006. Britney is quoted as saying she would like to write the album "pretty much on my own". Also, she has said in interviews that she has rediscovered her voice, while singing to her baby, and would like to show people she can really sing. She has said that Jive held her back from singing and doing music she wanted to do. She would like to do Blues and Jazz on her upcoming album which is rumored to come out sometime in November. She is however, teaming up with professional writers such as Cathy Dennis and Scott Storch. MTV has confirmed that rapper T-Pain has been asked to produce a few songs for the new album.[1] R&B artist Ne-Yo has also confirmed that he is teaming up with Britney to write some new songs for the album. Additionally, Britney recently stated in an interview to E! that she is interested in working with Gwen Stefani, Lenny Kravitz, and Steven Tyler. Also, in the news there have been rumors that Britney will duet with her ex, Justin Timberlake, He stated that he would love to be apart of Britney's comeback.

Danilo, from the calendar company, have announced that there is to be an official calendar for 2007 (there was not one for 2006, as she was thought to have retired from the music business to start a family). This is a good sign for Britney fans, as the calendar is also confirmed to contain material from new promotional photo shoots, some of which is to be from the new album's artwork. Britney also says that she will get back to touring, but "gradually" as she is still having trouble from her knee which caused her to cancel the third leg of The Onyx Hotel Tour in 2004.

Britney has also been rumored to be featured on husband Kevin Federlines album tentatively titled "Playing With Fire". She has been confirmed to be dancing in his music video and been seen leaving dance studios in late March of 2006.

Both US Weekly and People Magazine confirm a new album from the pop star in November 2006 and she has been interviewed saying she wants this comeback to be "big".

She has also been rumored to be getting back with the "...Baby One More Time" producer Max Martin to help her out on her next album.
