Did Zayn Malik take a shot at Kim Kardashian with his latest Tweet?
Malik, who sings about f---ing in a "place that is so pure, so dirty and raw," wants in on the continuing discussion of slut shaming. He's siding with P!nk and Chloe Grace Moretz, who blasted Kim Kardashian last week for posting a nude selfie because it apparently demeans women. Kim wrote an essay following the backlash saying she is proud of her curves and doesn't appreciate the comparisons to her 13-year-old sex tape. "I am empowered by my body," Kim wrote. "I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world."
Part of me doesn't care, the other part is earnestly disappointed that I'm agreeing with Kim Kardashian over P!nk, but I agree... women should feel free to post naked selfies and not worry they'll be labeled a whore.
After a few days, the chatter died down. That is, until Zayn jumped in with his two cents today (March 15), writing "Love how people feel liberated naked .. Read a book liberate your brain."
