Nicole Scherzinger Could Replace Fergie In Black Eyed Peas Reunion

Nicole Scherzinger is getting the band back together, but it's not the Pussycat Dolls.

Does it make complete sense that Scherzinger could take Fergie's spot as Queen B for the next Black Eyed Peas album? Absolutely, and according to a "reliable" source via a Brazilian BEP website, it's happening. Here's why:

Fergie promised her new LP, Double Dutchess, would debut some time in January, but we're more than half way through the month and still have no idea when it's slated to drop (does she?). The band definitely can't count on her to drop that project and focus on a BEP effort right now.

Scherzinger hasn't exactly scored mainstream success in music just yet, and she's seen her fair share of album delays over the years.

Then there's the promise from will.i.am the band will reunite. He confirmed it last year, telling Capital FM, "yes… there will be a Black Eyed Peas reunion. It breaks my heart that I even have to say that because really we should just always have been doing Black Eyed Peas actually.”

Last year, Scherzinger and Will dropped a music video for their collaboration, "Mona Lisa Smile," off his 2013 record #willpower.

And here's Nicole performing "Where Is The Love" with the Peas a couple years ago:
