Nicki Minaj took to the stage for iHeartRadio's Las Vegas pool party last night.
Taking a break from her sold out Pinkprint tour, Nicki Minaj stopped by Caesars Palace for a 30 minute explosion of some of her biggest hits. Including classics like "Super Bass" and "Starships" alongside newer hits "Only", "The Night is Still Young" and current single "Feelin' Myself" there's no doubt that the polarizing rap star put on a spectacular show.
Say what you will about Minaj, and God knows people do, but there's no denying her live chops. A competent dancer, surprisingly strong singer and outstanding rapper, Nicki's a triple threat like no other. Despite going up against a painfully uninterested crowd, the "Anaconda" hit maker took full control of the stage like it was just another night's work, which, considering her increasingly cemented reputation as a hot live act, I guess it probably was.
Her encore performance "Hey Mama" with David Guetta and Bebe Rexha is sure to keep the song moving up the Hot 100 after its climb to number 8 this week. It also sits inside the top 10 in the UK, Australia and Canada so perhaps early predictions that "Hey Mama" will go on to become one of summer 2015's defining hits weren't too far off the mark.
The iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party also featured sets from Nick Jonas and Kelly Clarkson.
