Nicki returns to her mixtape roots.
Nicki finally ends her musical drought.
Nicki has remained quiet in the past few weeks, most likely due to spending time with her beau Meek Mill before he is possibly sent to jail. But that's not stopping Nicki from hitting the studio, because her remix of Yo Gotti's "Down in the DM" remix has officially premiered.
Nicki posted a snippet of the remix yesterday (Feb. 3), but the full official remix dropped early this morning. Upon first listen, you can tell that Nicki returns to her mixtape roots on the remix. She references a couple of old tracks she's done including "Freaky Gurl" in 2008. She also namedrops some of our faves like Beyoncé, Miley, and Kylie Jenner.
The remix will be featured on Yo Gotti's new album The Art of Hustle, which hits stores February 19. Along with Nicki, artists like Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Future, K. Michelle and more are featured on the album.
Hear Nicki kill it on the remix below.
Then he put his hands in my pants / Felt them thick lips and got wood / He said, "Kylie, what's good?" / I said "Miley, what's good?" / I said, "Could you pay my bills like O'Reilly, what's good?!"
