Were you fooled into thinking that award season was (finally) over? Think again...
According to the Associated Press, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown have both scooped six nominations a piece at this year's BET Awards, set to take place on June 28.
Nicki's up for the prestigious Video of the Year, Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best Group (as part of Young Money) and Best Collaboration for her featured role on the remix of "No Love". She also bags two noms' in the Viewer's Choice category - once for 'PinkPrint' highlight "Only" and again for Rae Sremmurd's "Throw Some Mo".
Brown once again proves that he isn't going anywhere (as much as we might like him to); he's nominated twice for Video of the Year, twice for Best Collaboration as well as Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and a Viewers' Choice award.
Beyoncé and Lil Wayne are hot on their heels with four nominations a piece whilst FKA twigs and Sam Smith both get nods for Best New Artist.
Wondering what Stephen Hill, BET's president of programming, has to say about it all? Me neither, but he made a statement anyway:
"This year's nominees showcase a diverse group of talent that includes longstanding entertainers, breakout performers, and outstanding athletes."
You can see who else has been tipped for awards here, and the performers are expected to be announced over the next few weeks.
