"Levels" will be the first single off a new album.
Forget those thoughts about Nick Jonas repackaging his sophomore LP because the JoBro is set on releasing a brand-new album, and it all starts with the lead single "Levels."
On Friday (August 14), MTV News chatted with the hardest working man in pop about the upcoming single, which he says will most definitely surprise some folks because it's all about shaking dat ass on the dance floor.
With ’Jealous’ and even ’Chains’ there was an ability to dance to them, but it was very specific. For this one I feel like it’s a no-brainer dance, get up and have a good time jam.”
"Levels" will spearhead his third studio LP, which the singer said he's "incredibly excited to announce." "I’ve been hard at work on the new music trying to push myself lyrically to say some deeper things,” he told the outlet. "And I’ve gone through a lot in this past year and a half and I want to talk about it and just push myself as an artist and continue to grow."
Jonas will perform "Levels" for the very first time at the “MTV VMA Red Carpet” on August 30 at 8pm EST. If you want a taste of the instrumental to the track (and to see Nick prance around town with a boombox, gang of moon babes and a frap), peep his latest Instagram post.
