Nick Jonas promised he’d debut his first live performance of “Levels” at the VMA pre-show.
Guess he couldn’t wait, because Jonas performed it a day early as a co-headliner alongside Demi Lovato at an invite-only concert for Time Warner Cable and national HIV/AIDS organization Lifebeat. During his set, Jonas opened with “Chains” before striding into “Numb” and then “Levels.”
“You’re actually the first audience I’ve played that song for,” Jonas said according to Billboard, “so you should feel very special.”
He also covered The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” and Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison.”
We’ll pretend this was a dress rehearsal for his VMA appearance and get amped up for his real first live performance of the song today.
