Nick Jonas premieres first single and video from upcoming third album.
A few years ago, nobody expected a Jonas brother to becoming one of R&B’s most interesting artists. Yet, here we are, another Nick single, another catchy, smooth groove you can’t quite believe is as good as it is.
Continuing the current slow, angsty R&B jam trend taking male artists by storm right now, Close documents the tantalizing moments of tension before going all the way with someone, physically and emotionally.
The newly released video depicts this tension rather brilliantly, staging Nick and guest vocalist Tove Lo at a distant from each other in an empty warehouse. As the pair work their way through the song, they are jolted back and forth before finally crashing together, imitating the song and dance of starting a new relationship.
Nick Jonas’s new album Last Year Was Complicated is out June 10.
