It's been 25 years since Chic released an album, but they won't disappoint.
Music is an entirely different animal since the band's last release with 1992's Chic-ism, and they're enlisting today's musical super stars to help bring them up to speed on their forthcoming album, It’s About Time.
Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers revealed they've written new tunes with Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, Pharrell and Avicii. "I don’t want the album to be just a tribute to Chic. I still continued to grow and kept writing new music. Thank God I met people like Avicii, Lady Gaga, Daft Punk and Pharrell and we all keep writing music," he said, according to TheNational.ae. "I also wrote the lyrics. You know, I don’t want to live in the past but it is a nice place to visit."
You may recall Gaga collaborated with Rodgers last year on a cover of “I Want Your Love” used in a campaign for Tom Ford. They also performed together in Gaga's David Bowie tribute performance at the 2016 Grammys. If they recreate a track like this, expect magic.
