The age old question: why don't you love me like the other boys do?
Australian DJs Miriam Nervo and Olivia Nervo of NERVO enlisted the help of their fellow Aussie singer friend, Kylie Mingoue, and created a standout summer song titled "The Other Boys." The trio, who previously collaborated on Minogue's 2010 Aphrodite song “Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love),” created a funky disco anthemic hip grinding banger which also features Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears and Nile Rodgers(!!!).
“This is as disco as we have ever been,” NERVO tells Nylon of the song. Its the untouchable colorful vibe Minogue has mastered as of late that takes the song from ordinary to exclusive. Lending her vocals on disco legend Giorgio Moroder's Déjà Vu's lead single "Right Here Right Now," it's apparent Miss Minogue has found an appropriate niche in today's electro-dance music culture. In fact, Minogue has taken so kindly to this sound, she plans on releasing a disco-sounding Christmas album this year.
NERVO said adding Rodgers to the track made “the puzzle [feel] complete.” It's a solid effort “about not getting the attention from the boy you want.” As is life.
