Music Reacts To Donald Trump’s Muslim Ban

Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Troye Sivan and more speak out against President Donald Trump's controversial anti-Muslim immigration ban.

On Friday, Trump signed an executive order that barred refugees from entering the United States for 120 days, as well as immigrants from seven “majority-Muslim countries” for 90 days and Syrian refugees indefinitely. This action also applied to green card holders, and as a result, trapped scores of travelers at airports across the United States.

On Saturday, US federal Judge Ann M. Donnelly in New York blocked part of President Trump’s executive order on immigration amidst heated protests across the nation. She granted temporary stay, ordering that refugees and others detained at airports across the United States not be sent back to their home countries, the New York Times reports.

In a statement issued today (Jan. 29), Trump denies it's a "Muslim ban." "To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting," he wrote. "This is not about religion -- this is about terror and keeping our country safe."

Needless to say Trump's executive order is unconstitutional and goes against every ideal of what America represents. The outrage sparked responses in the music community.

Rihanna wrote: "Disgusted! The news is devastating! America is being ruined right before our eyes! What an immoral pig you have to be to implement such BS!!"

Sia and Grimes are raising money for the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union).

Camila Cabello says, "THIS IS NOT WHO WE ARE."
