Music Gets Testy On Twitter

The Twitter world in music lit UP.

In case you missed it... Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift kicked off a Twitter war, which prompted Kim Kardashian, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran to join in, leading to Minaj's boyfriend Meek Mill to attack Drake before Perez Hilton called out Beyonce and stanned for Rihanna.

Are you following? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nicki Minaj blasted out several Tweets aimed at MTV for their apparent "Anaconda" snub in the Video of the Year category, inferring race as a possible reason why she wasn't nominated.

Taylor Swift caught wind of Nicki's message and (rightfully?) assumed it was about her and fought back, sending a stern message to Minaj before adding the "Hey Mama" rapper "could" join her on stage if she won VOTY. How gracious.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That certainly fired up Miss Minaj, who put forth a barrage of messages about the incident and Re-Tweeting others who saw her side about the "white media and their tactics."

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian attempted to get in on the action, Tweeted a photo that referenced Kanye West's spotlight-stealing moment from Swift captioned: "Imma let you finish but…"

She deleted it since, but how annoying.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bruno Mars, who's also up for Video of the Year, jokingly Tweeted fellow nominee Ed Sheeran about the debacle.

Are you there?

By now, keyboards are warm, fingers fluttering, and Nicki Minaj's boyfriend Meek Mill wants to defend his girl. How? By attacking Drake. For no apparent reason, Mill went in on the "Energy" rapper for not writing his own lyrics.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And to round out the Twitter wars, blogger Perez Hilton blasted Beyonce for stealing song writing credits before adding Rihanna has a better musical catalogue. Then, Hilton sarcastically congratulated "people of color" for their Video of the Year nominations, pointing out Minaj's inherent racism of the "white media."

Thoughts? Besides ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
