Britney Spears was yesterday rushed to a California hospital where she gave birth to a 6lb 11 3/4oz, 19-inch long healthy baby boy, sources tell Star. The princess of pop, 23, and her husband, Kevin Federline, 27, haven't named their baby yet but have narrowed their choices to Sean or Preston, says Star's source. Britney's baby drama started early Wednesday (Sept. 14) morning when Spears, Federline, and her mom Lynne left her recently- renovated, $12 million Malibu mansion in a rented SUV and drove the 14 miles — in convoy with a police escort — to UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica. There, ringed by eight hulking bodyguards, she was admitted to the fifth-floor maternity ward where — at 12.57pm — she gave birth to her son, delivered by Caesarian section. Kevin cut the baby's cord himself, a source tells Star. "Everybody was crying," the source says. "Kevin, Britney, Britney's mom, they all broke into tears." Inside, Britney and her family members were given first-class treatment, taking over half the area of the maternity wing where both Kevin and Britney's mom were present during the birth. Couches, sofa beds, big screen TVs and other luxuries not usually laid on for moms giving birth and their families were provided for Britney. Kevin will likely sleep in the suite with Britney on one of the couches, which folds out into a bed. If there are no complications, Britney will go from the hospital home in three days.
