She can't stop, and she won't stop.
While Miley gears up to host the MTV Video Music Awards Aug. 30, she's making progress on recording her next studio album. A recent song leak titled "Nightmare" quenched our thirst for the time being, but we're getting impatient again! Fortunately, Cyrus is conjuring up something stellar for fans who've waited several years since 2013's "Bangerz" release. On Thursday (July 30), Cyrus and mega-talented songwriter Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera "Stripped," Pink, Ariana Grande, Celine Dion) hit up a recording studio together with Kerry Brown, who's worked with some rock legends like The Smashing Pumpkins, Ziggy Marley and even... Jessica Simpson. Brown posted a photo of them working together, saying: "What a great day blowing up headphones with @reallindaperry and @mileycyrus"
“They’re like, ‘Don’t make it too weird, don’t make it avant-garde; you can’t go from Miley to Björk!,’" Miley says of her new album in a recent interview with Paper mag. "I don’t have to have writers, I don’t have to have fuckin’ producers in there. Mike Will will text me a beat, and I’ll go in my studio and work on it by myself.” And admits listening to Flaming Lips “almost exclusively.” Wayne Coyne is “the most closest fucking human in my life.”
Sounds like Miley is taking on a whole new vibe come next era, and collaborators like Coyne and Perry will certainly see to that.
