Turn it loose!
Miley Cyrus broke free from the pop princess mold following 2013's Bangerz when she released her Dead Petz project for free on SoundCloud. It featured bizarre riffs and psychedelic trances produced with Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne. The overt imagery and adult lyrical content about getting high and falling apart from loss was an experiment of sorts for Miley. Now that a few years have passed, she's scaled back on the bizarre escapades and honing her craft. The 24-year-old is hard at work on her forthcoming studio album, which could arrive sooner than we thought.
For starters, Miley is rumored to have a feature on a new Mike WiLL Made It-produced song titled "Razzle Dazzle" reportedly dropping this month. RCA execs Peter Edge and Tom Corson also confirmed new music from the “FU” singer. Even the singer herself confirmed she's in the studio.
Now, her dad Billy Ray is chiming in. He Tweeted a photo of Miley from what appears to be a music video shoot and admits he's looking forward to hearing the rest of her new tunes. “Looks like it's time to rock n roll @MileyCyrus #happy Excited to hear more of the new stuff !!!!! Turn it loose !,” he said.

It's not clear whether Billy Ray was hinting at Miley trying out a rock n roll vibe on her new album, or if it's just the expression. I'm praying for a new pop banger from Miley, but if she's opting for rock n roll, I'll trust her.
