Love is love in Miley Cyrus' new song "Hands of Love."
Taking a break from her mind-bending "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz" record comes Cyrus' latest musical endeavor: a song titled "Hands Of Love" for the lesbian drama Freeheld.
The movie's centered around Stacie Andree and Laurel Hester, a real-life lesbian couple who fought for equal benefits and rights in their home state of New Jersey. Julianne Moore and Ellen Page play the women in the film and premiered it at the Sundance film festival last month.
Page suggested Cyrus sing the theme song and praised her for it:
“She has a really raw, unique, awesome, beautiful voice, and Miley’s doing a lot of incredible things for the LGBTQ community," she said. "I just thought it was going to be a perfect fit. She and Linda made something really special. I kept listening to it after I heard it.
She also added Cyrus didn't bring the hoopla along for her contribution.
"She walked in with no entourage, no fuss, no anything. She came to be of service for the song and the movie and didn’t bring ‘Miley’ with her.”
