Mike Tyson Shot A Video For Madonna's "Iconic?"

Is Madonna readying her next “Rebel Heart” single?

Madonna’s “Rebel Heart” era hasn’t gone according to plan since last winter when the entire record leaked way, way ahead of schedule. Since then, it appears Madonna isn’t worried about the insurmountable pressure the world places on its pop stars to “succeed.” Instead, she’s unapologetically releasing her music when and how she wants. She began with the album’s lead single, “Living For Love,” followed by a release for the apocalyptic “Ghosttown” then most recently her Diplo-produced club attempt “Bitch I’m Madonna.” It appears Madonna is already moving on to the next rebellious single: “Iconic” featuring Chance The Rapper and Mike Tyson.

The famed boxer opens the song with an inspiring speech about never giving up (“I’m the best the world has ever seen. I’m somebody you’ll never forget cause I work hard and sweat in my tears. I’m never falling again and if I did, I’d come back.”), and now reveals he recently shot a video for Madonna. Though he doesn’t specifically mention if it’s tour footage or a cameo for the song’s music video, whatever it is is bananas.

“It’s just intense. I’m in a cage. I’m a hostage. I’m chained. I’m naked. I look like a savage. When I [shot] it it didn’t seem that intense. But then you watch it and go, ‘Whoa.’ It was like [something out of] National Geographic… I need to be tamed, man.”

Watch him explain (around 1:39).

Just yesterday, Madonna posted a close-up and mentioned the song in the caption with the hashtag #rebelhearttour, so most likely the video will be shown on stage during the show (or both).

“Madonna calls you and tells you to come somewhere, you go,” Tyson told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “I didn’t know what the hell I was going there for. I’m just there having a good time and hanging out with Madonna. She has her producer there and I go into the studio and I didn’t know if she wanted me to talk or rap. I just go in there and start talking. I’m talking about my life and things that I have endured. I’m saying some really crazy stuff. It was really intense.”

Destiny will choose you in the end.
