M-Train's debut LP 'Title' lands the "Lips Are Moving" crooner her first number one album.
Meghan Trainor has debuted on top of the Billboard 200 this week, dethroning Taylor Swift after over 4 million albums sold and a nine week run at number one with '1989'. The Queen of Bass will undoubtedly be thrilled with the accolade, as it silences those who labeled her a one hit wonder and moves her squarely into the big leagues.

Meghan, who recently announced that she'd written a song with Harry Styles on her ukelele (because of course), managed to move a not-too-shabby 238,000 units, not too far off doubling Taylor's 131,000 this week. In comparison, Taylor managed to score 1,287,000 in her first week, so there won't be any teardrops on her guitar after being usurped this week, but Meghan's achievement is nothing to be sniffed at. Billboard reports that the last time a female artist opened with higher sales for a debut album was in 2009, when Susan Boyle's 'I Dreamed A Dream' shifted over 700,000 units.
Whilst 'Title' has undoubtedly been extremely commercially successful - featuring the mega-smash "All About That Bass" and Hot 100 top 5 hit "Lips Are Movin'" - it hasn't fared quite so well critically, pulling in some average feedback, with overwhelmingly positive reviews few and far between.

No matter what the critics say though, Meghan will undoubtedly be riding high right now, with her much anticipated 'That Bass Tour' due to kick off in just a few weeks and "Lips Are Movin'" still climbing the Hot 100. All in all, it seems that Trainor reign just won't let up.
In other news, if you were looking for an excuse to throw your laptop at a brick wall, here's Meghan covering 5SOS on a ukelele.
Yep, you're welcome.
