Meghan Trainor Drops Love-Yourself Woman Anthem “I’m A Lady”

I know I'm a gem.

Meghan Trainor cancelled her previous tour due to a vocal chord injury. It forced the pop star to take some much-needed time off, but there's no rest for the willing, and certainly not for the Grammy Award winner. Trainor spent the hiatus recording a catchy single for the upcoming Smurfs film, Smurfs: The Lost Village, which she also stars in. The new tune titled "I'm A Lady" is classic Meghan – a spunky song that would easily sound at home on her debut album, Title.

"[It's] a Meghan Trianor, upbeat, love-yourself woman anthem, like I do!," Trainor said of the song back in December. Produced by The Monsters and the Strangerz, Trainor sings about embracing all of her girlish quirks. "And I don't look like them (But I ain't worried about it) / I don't talk like them (But I ain't worried about it) / But I know I'm a gem," she croons over a sassy sax. "I ain't worried about it, I ain't worried about it / 'Cause I'm a lady."

A music video for "I'm A Lady" is also in the works. Listen and see clips from the shoot below:
