Taylor Swift is taking a page straight out of Britney Spears' pop book and enlisting famed swedish producer Max Martin to produce her next album and transform her from let me write a song about one of my exes country to put on your sunglasses and blast this in the club pop music.
Scott Borchetta, who discovered Taylor and heads her label, Big Machine Records, tells Rolling Stone he doesn’t expect country radio stations to play her new pop songs.
“Taylor fans are going to love it. Will country stations play a complete pop song just because it’s her? No. But when she comes to town, her friends at country radio will come and see her.”
Great. First Taylor takes half my man crushes in Hollywood and now she's infiltrating my favorite radio stations?! This better be good...
Taylor says of her label rep:
“Scott’s secret to success is his child-like excitement about music combined with his extremely mature way of stepping back and seeing a song for its true potential,” Taylor tells Rolling Stone. “He’s allowed me to evolve naturally on my own, one year at a time.”
Think Taylor can make the transition?
