Coming for that 19th number one!
Even though Mariah Carey celebrated her 45th
birthday "anniversary" on Friday (March 27), the big-voiced diva had a gift to share with all of her Lambily. In what sounds like a rather spontaneous "Mona Lisa" style interview, she and longtime collaborator Brett Ratner called into Laser 101.1's Friday Fruckus to unveil a few details about their upcoming collaborative projects.
After landing in St. Maarten, the duo called into the Friday Fruckus broadcast to spill the beans on their upcoming projects. Not only is the dahhling diva reuniting with the director for an upcoming film, which is based on her festive classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You," but they're also working on a new music video for her upcoming single. It only makes sense that a new release is heading our way since Mimi is set to re-release her iconic 1998 #1's compilation in support of her upcoming Las Vegas residency.
Asked for details surrounding the new single, Ratner remained mum, but said it was definitely something to be excited for.
It's a Ratner/Mariah reunion. The new song ... Your head is going to be busted open."
Carey previously enlisted Ratner for some of her best visuals, including "Heartbreaker," "We Belong Together" and "Obsessed." Now, before you say it, I'm still trying to forget that "H.A.T.E.U." received such a shitty video treatment. #sorrynotsorry
