Mariah Carey announced her 'Infinity' residency in Las Vegas is coming to a close.
When one bedazzled door closes, another one opens. Carey's last leg of Infinity is scheduled from April 26 - May 13, 2017 with tickets going on-sale Friday, September 23 at 12 p.m. PT, but it leaves room for Carey to pursue several other projects she has in the works, including a new studio album and a documentary-series (don't call it a reality show) appropriately titled Mariah's World.
"Mariah is a phenomenal talent with ecstatic, global appeal," said John Nelson, Sr. Vice President of AEG Live Las Vegas. "We adore Mariah and are honored she has called The Colosseum home over the last two years. We look forward to working together again in the future."
Carey has been graciously teasing new music as of late. "Just got home after a long night at the studio!!!!!," she captioned a photo of herself naked in a bathtub posted to Instagram. "New music coming soon yayyyyyy."
Carey previously admitted she has a secret concept for the record, but that's all she'd say in fear someone would steal it (again). It could feature a collaboration with The Weeknd.
“I’m taking a different approach with this record because I’m not holding myself to the studio like, ‘I’m making this album top to bottom.’ People don’t really do that anymore," Carey said. "Right now I’m writing and recording and collaborating, and then we’ll see what the best of the best is.”
Adding: “It’s a secret because then everybody steals the concept," she said. "I’m serious, it just happened to me like two months ago. I don’t want to go into it because then I’m gonna be shady.”
