Madonna Returns To Billboard Hot 100 After Three Year Absence

Madonna Returns To Billboard Hot 100 After Three Year Absence

Singer's third Rebel Heart single was propelled heavily by streams.

Madonna got the most play she’s had in three years on the Billboard Hot 100, courtesy of her star-studded video for “Bitch I’m Madonna.”

On Thursday (June 25), Billboard announced that Madge’s in-your-face celebratory jam made a slight scrape on the chart with a debut at the number 84 spot. We know. We know. It’s not anything to boast about, but a charting single is a charting single, right?

Madonna's last appearance on the Hot 100 happened in 2012 when her Minaj and MIA-assisted “Give Me All Your Luvin’” became her 38th top 10 single. Ironically, she’s behind Minaj on the list of females with the most appearances on the chart. While Madonna is currently the 4th most frequented Hot 100 female with 57 entries, Minaj one-ups her with 63 appearances. Taylor Swift nabs the number two spot with 69 appearances and the one and only Aretha Franklin ranks as the top dog with 73 appearances.

In the meantime, we say you give “Bitch I’m Madonna” another spin and rejoice in this very minor “success.”
