French duo Julien Choquart and Camille Hirigoyen (J.A.C.K) directed the matador-inspired clip, styling by B. Akerlund (Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me"). There's red capes, scantily clad male backup dancers donning bullhorns and lots of cheeky poses by the Queen.
The clip does the job - she looks hot, body on point, cinematography lookin' fierce, but overall its nothing innovative or mind-blowing. It's a series of scenes of Madonna doing what Madonna does, and at this stage in the game she has a lot to prove. Rather, a lot to lose. When her entire body of work leaks way, way ahead of schedule, it seems Madonna's got an uphill battle to engage not only her fans, but the mainstream general public. She's playing it a little safe in "Living For Love," an extremely unconventional move by the notoriously controversial pop singer.
I'm not thrilled I was forced to watch the premiere on Snapchat. Now I'm regretting not getting the iPhone 6 Plus. It's only a matter of time until the music video lands on her official account, so for now enjoy this:
Are you living for "Living For Love?"
