Madonna has remained an outspoken advocate of equal rights for decades, and kicked it up a notch in the last year following Donald Trump's rise (or descent) to becoming America's 45th President. Today (March 8) is International Women's Day. To promote the momentous occasion, the Queen of Pop shared a 13-minute mini-film she shot with photographers Luigi & Iango for her Vogue Germany magazine spread.
“To our refusal as women to accept this new age of tyranny. Where not just women are in danger, but all marginalized people," Madonna says in the intro – a soundbite lifted from her speech at the Women's March in D.C. earlier this year. "Where being uniquely different might truly be considered a crime. The revolution starts here.”
