Don't think that I can explain it. What can I say, it's complicated.
Camila Cabello is a target of the Internet's crosshairs after it was announced she was leaving Fifth Harmony. She and her former bandmates released dueling statements to avoid the he-said she-said drama, but it ultimately sparked more chatter and drama.
Now that we have a few days under our belt since the ordeal, Cabello's industry friends are coming to the rescue. Shawn Mendes, who teamed up with Cabello on "I Know What You Did Last Summer," quoted a portion of her letter to fans and remarked it was beautifully written.

The next to step to the plate is her "Bad Things" collaborator Machine Gun Kelly. In a new radio interview, Kelly says Camila doesn't have a mean bone in her body.
“I know Camila, there is no like trickery going on. There’s no behind-the-back stuff,” he said. “It was odd that it happened on the day that we got our gold plaque for ‘Bad Things’. It seems like, the way it played out, it wasn’t great timing… but I know that it was all so genuine.”
He added: “This isn’t something that started in a garage together. This was put together. So be grateful for the years that it was.”
“Be happy for what’s to come.”
