M.I.A. Drops Buzzing Blaqstarr Remix Of “Bird Song”

M.I.A. premiered one of two versions of her new AIM tune “Bird Song.”

M.I.A.’s latest release is her most subdued yet, despite the relentless kazoos that swarm her low-key vocals as she sings about crows, cranes, ostriches and hawks (“I need more birds”).

This version is remixed by Blaqstarr, who also helped Skrillex craft her lead single “Go Off.” The indie-pop star teased another version last week – one that her ex flame Diplo had a hand in, although according to Pitchfork the version below is the one that appears on AIM.
