Louis Tomlinson Dedicates New Song “Just Hold On” To His Mom Who Just Passed Away: Listen

UPDATE // DECEMBER 10:

Louis Tomlinson recorded a song with mastermind producer Steve Aoki titled "Just Hold On," and the emotional record is out on iTunes.

The song was created before his mom Johannah's death, but the lyrics remain heart wrenching.

Wish you could build a time machine
So you could see the things no one can see
Feels like you’re standing on the edge
Looking at the stars and wishing you were them

What do you do when a chapter ends
Do you close the book and never read it again
Where do you go when your story’s done
You can be who you were or who you’ll become

If it all goes wrong, darling just hold on…
The sun goes down and it comes back up
The world it turns no matter what
If it all goes wrong, darling just hold on…

It’s not over til it’s over said it’s not over til your dying breath
So what do you want them to say when you’re gone
That you gave up or that you kept going on

What do you do when a chapter ends
Do you close the book and never read it again
Where do you go when your story’s done
You can be who you were, or who you’ll become

If it all goes wrong, darling just hold on…
The sun goes down and it comes back up
The world it turns no matter what
If it all goes wrong, darling just hold on”

Tomlinson took to Twitter to thank fans for the outpour of well wishes: "All the support has been incredible! Let's do this together tonight," he wrote.

As we previously reported, Louis is set to tribute his mother in his first ever solo live performance tomorrow on The X Factor.

"Louis will go ahead with his debut solo performance at the X Factor final tomorrow night in tribute to his late mother. The performance was long-planned and it was one of Johannah’s dying wishes for Louis to take the stage. As a result, he will go ahead with what she wanted."

EARLIER // DECEMBER 9:

Heartbreaking news from the One Direction camp today.

In a formal statement, the husband of Louis Tomlinson's mother, Johannah, confirmed the 42-year-old lost her battle with leukaemia two days ago. She leaves behind seven children.

"It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016. Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. Johannah was first and foremost a truly amazing mother to seven children – Louis (24), Lottie (18), Félicité (16), and two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy (12) and Ernest and Doris (2) – whose individual talents and success are testament to the principles and beliefs she instilled in them. She was also an incredibly proud grandmother to Freddie. Incredibly selfless, she would always look to put other people before herself. She desired nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy and loving. She worked tirelessly on numerous charity campaigns, creating memories for many individuals and their families. It wasn’t uncommon for Johannah to hear through the media of an individual in need of assistance, and she would immediately make it her objective to get that person what they often desperately needed, and rarely without success."

Johannah was beloved by the One Direction fanbase, due to her close relationship with Louis. She would often interact with 1D fans on her Twitter account, sharing childhood stories and photos of Louis.

In January this year, The Inquisitor released an exclusive interview with the parents of a terminally ill child, detailing the incredible effort Louis and Johannah put into their humanitarianism:

“The day after the One Direction show, Louis even sent a car to take us all to a Believe In Magic party in Hamleys toy store. The whole weekend was ‘just magical’ we as a family would never have had access to this sort of treatment if it were not for Louis and Jay. People don’t know the real Louis, Jay has told me that when Louis suffers a bad press day he says to her ‘come on mum, lets make someone happy today.’ That’s the kind of man Louis is. Louis Tomlinson is very grounded, he is family orientated and both Louis and Jay hold a very special place in my family’s hearts.”

Louis and Johannah, along with Liam Payne, last year raised over £2 million dollars for the Believe In Magic charity for terminally ill children, by holding a special Cinderella ball for young patients.

Louis's most recent Instagram post was a throwback to this February, when the pair attended The Brit Awards together:

My mother looking gorgeous before the Brits earlier this year . I love you and miss you so much !

Celeb associates of Louis's offered their condolences on Twitter. Including Zayn:

Wishing Louis all the best for his performance, and thoughts and prayers are with the Tomlinson/Deakin family.

1D fans get a bad rap in the press, but are actually a very admirably charitable bunch. Each year, fundraising drives are held in honour of each band member's birthday. On the day, the money raised is donated to a charity the 1D member associates with. In the hour since news broke of Johannah's passing, nearly $5000 has been donated into Louis's birthday fund. Louis turns 25 in two weeks. If you'd like to donate to his drive, click HERE. If you'd like to donate to the hospitals that treated Johannah, click HERE or HERE.
